To Whom It May Concern:
We respectfully request all employers, school districts, or other institutions to excuse any Muslim person(s) from taking time off to observe the Islamic holiday of Eid ul Adha, a religious event which coincides with the annual Hajj pilgrimage. On this day, Muslims around the world commemorate Prophet Abraham’s exemplary demonstration of exclusive devotion to God.
Eid ul Adha was observed on Monday, September 12, 2016. The congregational prayer services were held during the morning hours and festivities continued throughout the day.
Please consider your student or employee’s absence excused for this day. Your consideration in this matter is highly appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@alfarooqmasjid.org.

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah's Messenger
saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."”
